Now they're again taking us "Inside The Crisis" Monday night at 10 PM. We hope it doesn't feature Phil LeBeau giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Rick Wagoner. [CNBC]

<![CDATA[Officially Unofficial CNBC "Saving General Motors" Live-Blog]]>

You know, just in case you're interested, "Saving General Motors" is on CNBC right now. Turn it on just to see Phil LeBeau look a little awkward in the passenger seat of the new Chevy Camaro as Dale Jr. rips it around an Aussie test track. If you're watching at home, leave some comments below — kind of like a commenter-driven live-blog. [CNBC]

<![CDATA[CNBC's "Saving General Motors" Is... Actually Quite Good]]> CNBC's gone inside GM for a one-hour documentary called "Saving General Motors," airing next Wednesday, August 6th at 9 PM and defying expectations, put together a rather compelling hour of television for the auto-obsessed. The documentary of course spends time on the bad, but also on success stories for the big 'merican automaker — the new Chevy Malibu, the new Chevy Silverado, the new Cadillac CTS and Buick in China as well as potential success stories like the new Chevy Camaro (and of course, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. taking the Camaro around the track — as well as some great behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Chevy's new hotness) and the Chevy Volt.

It'll also focus on profiling some of the General's big names — Rick Wagoner, Bob Lutz, Ed Welburn and of course, GM lifer and UAW hourly worker Warren Kennedy. Good ol' Warren. We've seen an advance copy of the show and it's an engaging watch for the automotive-obsessed. Highlights include CNBC car stud Phil LeBeau interviewing Bob Lutz at the GM Heritage Center and hearing him speak with candor about the craptastic quality issues of the previous generation of GM products. Oh, and we get to see Lutz in a flight suit. Hot! Want to see some clips? Hit CNBC's site and then check out the full show on Wednesday. [CNBC]
