    Kinda silly/funny, kinda stupid. In other words, almost exactly like a Will Ferrell movie.

    My only objection is the name... can't believe he neglected to substitute "Tabermackerel" for "Tabernacle".

    I have ridden in this car and the hood lobsters really do rise above a certain vehicle/wind speed. You get the sensation that you are about to endure a crustacean attack, until you realize they are facing the other way, defending you. When the car slows down, the defenders settle back to their relaxed position, and you can be secure that the wind won't muss your hair.

    I'm having issues with my slow-ass intrawebs here at home, but I had to comment on this. Murilee, thanks again for posting my dust-enhanced (well, all kinds of dust) Burning Man art car link again, and this sort of stuff, well, its just too awesome for words. To the true gearhead, the question "should we?" never crosses the mind. And I agree- the crappy-ass Tercel with doll heads glued to it is NOT an art car. That's some lazy ass hippie who just enjoys sniffing super glue fumes. That Phone Car, _that_ takes dedication, a vision, and effort. _that_ is an art car. (I wish I still lived in Baltimore sometimes; there's a really cool industrial sort of underground thing going on there, that is really hard to figure out) This Billy Bass Volvo, as obnoxious as it is, demands some amount of respect just for the (perhaps flawed) vision and commitment that saw this very, very bad idea through to fruition.


    Someone much more insightful than my Merlot-quaffing self once said that real art inspires deep-seated feelings- love -and- hate. I would say this qualifies.
