I drive very conservatively when my kids are in the car. On rare occasions that I've been challenged to stoplight derbies with them on board, I'm mortified by the thought. In a nutshell: I can't even imagine what would possess you to street race with your kids in the car. Even if you think you're God's gift to driving excellence and can't concern yourself with the safety issue, then just think about the horrible example you're setting for your kids as you encourage their own reckless self-endangerment when they become drivers.

@ataliaray: Logic 101. You ready for this? Please, everyone read because I see it all the time, particularly in the political flames.
Converse error: a->b so b->a. Also known as confusing cause and correlation.
Example: If you fall down, you'll get a bruise. So if you have a bruise, you fell down.
Use in ancient politics*, indicative of the general public's unfamiliarity with formal logic:
John Kerry: If you do poorly in school you end up working fast food or going to Iraq.
Punditry: Kerry is saying if you're in the military, you're dumb.
*Old example chosen because it is illustrative, not intended as flamebait.
Poetic Justice (2009): After being hit by his street-racing dad, young Justice decides to forget about college and becomes a Salt Lake City hairdresser. Avoiding friends, the only way for him to cope with his depression is by composing beautiful poetry. One his way to a convention in Oakland, he is forced to ride with an independent-minded postal worker whom he has not gotten along with in the past. After various arguments between them and his friends, they start to discover that their thoughts on racing, street and track, are the same. Justice may finally feel that he is not as alone as before.

Maybe we can get a picture of Dad and we can have a no holes barred photoshop contest that would make looking in the mirror seem easy.

Good luck, kid! Recover fully soon! I hope your mother is a more responsable parent, since your dad is probably going to jail for a while...
