I know propane burns clean but the Roush website says these trucks aren't 50 state legal. Did they just not make the investment to have it CARB certified? I don't know why they would ignore such a large market. I'm sure there are tons of contractors here in CA who would love to save money on fuel and get a tax break.

On a side note, isn't ROUSCH the sound a propane tank makes when it blows up?

@DoctorNine: Only if the PRD actually has time to function. In a crash or fire it usually goes KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM! More than one tank? Then it goes KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM! KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM! KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM! KABOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!

I'm disappointed that the research firm has changed their name. PERC used to be the Propane Education and Research
Knights of Yankee Nationals for Immerging Proposition Papers Linking Energy Sources or PERKYNIPPLES.

I love the blue sky, clouds, and green grass theme on the truck.

If you want your machine, to be a bit more green; propane.

    It's a clean-burning fuel, so don't be a fool; propane.

She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; propane.

Like I've said before, in countries where LPG conversions are more popular, $2k-$3k is a typical bi-fuel conversion price. Seems like Roush is including the tax credit in his pricing scheme, because otherwise it sounds awfully high. I've seen DIY stuff even cheaper on carbureted cars.

Every time I see a propane powered pickup, I wish there was a grille mounted in the back - that would make this an attractive enough proposition to overlook the added cost.
