The woodwork in a Rolls is meticulously well done, if not especially difficult work for a competent woodworker. With the appropriate jigs and other equipment, I could do as well.
But being a cheap bastard, I'd leave off the expensive and difficult walnut burl, and do mine in a nice sugar maple.
'ello again, I'm Bruce Bruceington with NatGeo back again, this time submerged in a stolen submarine, deep beneath the Arctic circle. I'm here seeking to find one of the rare giants, the Royceous Rollerous. These huge beasts reside deep under the water, yet because of their high consumption, they must emerge quite often. Reciently they have been interbreed with a similar genii, the Bavarian Moterii Werkous. This has led to longer lifespan and a less dieseases, however the older Royceous Rollerous better maintained their classic shape and persona. So before they're all gone, I'm here to track down the remainder of the species.
The mating with the Bavarian Moterii Werkous have led to some rather questionable offspring, which some belive to have the persona of old, however most still long for the older Royceous.
Oh, avast, lookout that window there. Behold the mighty flanks of the Roycerous. They consume mostly petrolum products and algee, however have been known to devour a fish or two.
And after this paid announcement by the ideal coffee table book, "Wert and Camaro: A love for eternity," in bookstores everywhere.

What happened to the good old days when Rolls Royce's power was "sufficient". Printing performance numbers is just, well, very German (pretend that last word was said by Jeremy Clarkson).
The original Silver Ghost was built at a premium to be extremely quiet (like a horse and buggy) and extremely reliable (like a horse and buggy). The 1990 Lexus LS400 was quieter and more reliable than any Rolls could hope to be. So is an LS460L more Ghost-worthy than this silly pastiche we see here?
The original Rolls Silver Ghost was an amazing car. The reasons it was call a Ghost was because of its oily quiet engine, which was not common with other cars of its day. If I remember correctly, these cars were also used by the British forces as armored cars during WWI and used in other battles throughout the world until the forties. These armored units used the same frame as the original, which gives a concept of how substantially they were built. I remember a quote that I once read attributed to Henry Royce of Rolls-Royce where he was explaining why he used so many small bolts in his assemblies, rather than several big ones; he said (I don’t remember the exact quote, but this is close enough) "I like to sew my parts together with many small bolts". I have always thought about that statement when I see high quality engineering workmanship. The old Rolls-Royce quality was second to none because of that type of thinking.
I wonder if the new Ghost name is being resurrected because they are trying to instill quality, or is the name just going to be misused for financial gain?

"there's noises, there's hussle and bussle, there's smells you cant even imagine. There are beggers on the streets, mothers crying, proles on the dole, and babies dying. But you're just in a completely different frame of mind to everybody else in the world around you..."
Rolls Royce Ghost: If Marie Antoinette were alive today, this is the car she would be driving.
So disappointed. I saw the header and thought someone was going to ghost ride the new RR.
BMW really blew it on the grille and with the paint scheme. Nice how the grille gets lost in all that silver paint. And the Packard Caribbean had a more elegant paint job.
Oh well, come the revolution that will be the cherry on top of the carpocalypso, we'll know that only tossers are rolling in these. Then we'll repurpose the cars to dinner booths at the Wheelbarrow Winternationals.
I never thought I would actually say this but I think the grill is too small. The nose of the car as it originally came into focus seems smallish and squished. It could've just been the angle the car was at, but it honestly looked like a really nice clone. idk I felt it was just to plain. I'm still torn on this. The idea of an "affordable" Rolls Royce is still a bit much for me to handle. Why buy an over priced 7 series. If you can afford to drop six figures on a car, why not buy the real one?

What can I say, I'm a Murrican.

Also, I thought the purpose of a table-like torque curve was that you could use less gears...
