Boy, the French version of Knight Rider must have had a really tight budget if they couldn't even afford the strobe thingy, much less making the car talk.
The developers of the videogame Driv3r must have been following this movie. Weren't similar cars to these 2 available for simulated hoonage in one of the levels? Rio, IIRC.
I'm fighting the impulse to play the Benny Hill "Yakety Sax" soundtrack along with the clip. Also, points off for the CX driver for having his right turn signal light on when he's squealing to the left.
The price is dear, but I still think it's a nice price, considering the era in motorsports this car symbolizes, and what it was capable of in competition trim, a sampling of which can be seen below. #1985r5turbo2
Ask $20K and you'll get some nibbles. Too bad about the little motor. You've got to have half-litre sportbike instincts to keep the revs where the meat is, otherwise everything falls flat and there you are, jerking and farting at the traffic light, trying to get things going again. #1985r5turbo2

That's what I'm thinking. Ok, fine, it might not pull that beastly 500+ the quattro got, or hell even the 205, but still.
Looks nice too, I'd much rather get that than the mini. #1985r5turbo2
