I actually think it's not a bad price. It looks like a video game designer was tasked with creating a generic early-'90s RangeTrooplorer and succeeded admirably.

And it's got a 302, so making it dangerously quick can be dirt cheap.

Will the wiring short itself out? No.

Will the battery die for no reason leaving you stranded in the desert? No.

Will the light bulbs fire themselves out of the holders every time you turn them on? No.

Because it's not a proper 4x4, one with Lucas Electrics, and therefore a crack pipe.

Considering you can get a late-'80s Land Rover for less than $4,000 I am tempted to vote Crack Pipe. However, I have to run it through the engineerd Fair Market Value (eFMV patent pending) calculator.

The eFMV took the $4,000 starting point for a Range Rover and added the obligatory $1,000 for rarity. Also added was another $500 for a lack of pesky purists for a total of $5,500. So, at $5,300 this is right at fair market value. Nice Price, but not a bargain.

This would be a fun project vehicle. Engine parts wouldn't be a problem at all, and engine mods are aplenty. Iveco chassis have been around a long time and, while not completely mainstream in the US, should have decent support. These things were built to be tough, so rip out the dash, put in a roll cage, and drive this thing in the next Dakar Rally!

I remember seeing these while scanning duPont registry ads as a teen, and they were always billed as "The Ferrari of SUV's" .... $5300 for "The Ferrari of SUV's"? Sign me up.

There's a little car that Fiat sells over here since 83 (and yes Americans, soon you will be able to buy) tha is literally the child of the LaForza. It was called Uno now it's called Mille due to the out of this world 61cid.

Rare does not always equal desireable. While somewhat cool, (and I have to give it some love for the Italian heritage) it looks a bit like a Range Rover that wasn't put together all the way. And since Range Rovers were never put together all the way even from the factory, that makes this rolling question mark a pretty good toke on the CRACK PIPE.
