Taking A Spin In A JDM Nissan Skyline

The new Nissan GT-R may be stirring up a lot of hype, but before the R35, Skyline lovers on this continent had to have their cars independently imported. The problem is, since the gray-market heyday of the '80s, the American import laws have been pretty dang strict. So, we decided to make our way up to Toronto, to check out how hoons in great white north do things. This particular operation, ONI JDM, has brought in everything from kei cars to fully-modded RX-7s, Supras, and of course Skylines. They offered to take us for a ride in their drift-spec R32 Nissan Skyline, so we bolted down the video camera and strapped ourselves in.

New Screenshots Appear of Midnight Club: Los Angeles

We heard about the release date yesterday, but today we've stumbled upon some of the screenshots from the latest addition to the Midnight Club series. These screenshots feature the likes of the Nissan R34 Skyline GT-R, Saleen S302 Extreme and S7, Dodge Challenger SRT8, 2010 Chevy Camaro and a 2008 Cadillac CTS even appears blurry in the background. Wow, that's quite the repertoire of drivable vehicles in the open-world racing game.

JDM Nissan R35 GT-R Can Be Yours For $96,000

Want a new Nissan GT-R, but you don't want to wait around to take delivery of an "officially" imported model? Well you're in luck, because we've found a 2007 JDM model for sale that's ready to be exported from Japan to your local shipping yard. The asking price? 9,585,000 yen; the equivalent of about $96,000. Now if you're in the good ol' USofA, that's alot of money for a right-hand-drive car that you can't legally register for the street. Sure, you might be able to use it as a trackday toy, but the point of the big Nissan is that it offers incredible performance in a package you can use as everyday transportation. So unless you're an aftermarket tuning company looking for a test vehicle, this just isn't a logical purchase.

Nissan GT-R R35 is Huge Compared To R34

We knew the new Nissan GT-R (R35) was big, but putting it next to the last generation Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) makes it look like a hulking behemoth. One would think the magic of perspective would slim it down so as to not look so porky, but the distance only seems to inflate the size. This is like one of those impossible reality drawings that make our brains hurt. From this angle it almost looks like one Godzilla is preparing to eat the other Godzilla.
