The Mad Max Pursuit Special V8 Interceptor was really a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT, an exclusive Australian ride, that came equipped with a hearty 351 Cleveland V8. We're wondering if the nerdy, little Google Street View car was jealous or something because this movie gem seems a bit off the beaten path, even for the Land Down Unda. (Hat tip to Salguod!)

<![CDATA[Princeton Transformers 2 Video Reveals Speeding Astra, Sweet Pursuit GKart Camera]]> Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is filming some kind of chase scene this week on the set of Princeton University featuring the Saturn Astra we saw on set last week. These videos, caught by some intrepid students, indicate the Astra appears to be damaged, so one could suggest it's probably not a Transformer and rather the daily driver for a character other than Shia LaBeouf's. We mean, why would he want to cheat on his beloved Bumblebee? Also caught on film is a scene of Shia running around carrying books and talking on a cell phone and seemingly running from giant fake robots. You know, like every other student in the world. But if there's one car we want more than the Camaro, it's got to be the little Shelly Ward-created Pursuit GKart Camera. That go-cart-on-coke looks a lot more fun than the Astra. [Transformers Live]

<![CDATA[Standing Still: Ford Launches Fusion Pursuit Edition For Euro Market]]> FoMoCo released a new variant on the Euro edition of the Fusion, which unlike the 'merican car with "Bold" "Hi, I'm Dave" razor-blade styling, is a minicar built off the Fiesta platform exhibiting more of a "Meek" "Hi, I'm your auntie" mini-minivan styling. But although this variant is called the "Pursuit Edition" it appears to lack the performance add-ons one would expect from a vehicle named after a word meaning "to give chase." In fact, according to the FoMoCo Europe press release for Great Britain, the new edition of the tiny-car will, in addition to providing some bespoke interior styling,

"add air conditioning, Quickclear windscreen and power heated mirrors."
Yes, well — maybe it's just laying in wait there next to the windmill — and at any moment it will hop out in front of its target and roast it to death with the power heated mirrors. Yes, that's it.
