2009 Jaguar XF, Part One
If the Jeremy Clarkson School of Automotive Journalism has taught me one thing, it’s that any good car review needs a metaphor. They serve to add a tangible anchor to a story, they add humor, they add relevance and, more importantly, they create an easy formula with which us car reviewers can crank out reviews in no time flat about a car most readers will likely never drive. Jaguar XF Getting Ready For Frankfurt
These new shots of the Jaguar XF seem to indicate it's getting awfully close to being ready for the Frankfurt Auto Show reveal. We'll let the WorldCarFans folks give you the rest of the story:"Code-named X 250, the new XF aims in particular at buyers of the very successful BMW 5-Series. The current S-Type has been on the market since 1998, and although it had found many faithful buyers, the nostalgic styling turned out not to be for everyone. The new XF abandons traditional styling to pursue a more youthful modern design as seen in the C-XF Concept.

Car Spy Photographer Brenda Priddy Auctions Off Jaguar XF Prototype Duct Tape For Charity
A-list car spy photographer (and sometimes Jalopnik contributor) Brenda Priddy's always one to use her unique "star-like" status in the industry to make some dough for those less fortunate. Just as an example, last year she put herself in "jail" to look for some straight-to-charity bail money. This year however, she's snagged some littered duct tape and a sticky wad of camouflage from the not-yet-out 2009 Jaguar XF and she's auctioning it off along with a 12" x 18" shot of the Jaguar XF signed by none other than the spy mistress herself. So hop on over to eBay and snag yourself some super-secret sticky stuff and a pic of the Jaguar XF — it's for a good cause. [eBay]
