Exclusive: Details Leak On "Warp" Optioned RENNtech Mercedes SL65
The Cold War may be over but the ongoing battle between Mercedes-tuning shops BRABUS and RENNtech continues to heat up. We've all seen this war of HP — BRABUS releases photos of their 530 HP AMG C63. Later that day RENNtech releases their tuned 548 HP AMG C63. Next, RENNtech tunes an SLR McLaren and throws in track time. Later in the week, BRABUS tunes their SLR McLaren and throws in a tuned Smart. But it was after RENNtech tuned a GLK hybrid last week when BRABUS deigned it necessary to create a "photon torpedo gap" between the two shops — releasing a tuned Tesla Roadster earlier today on the waves of spaceship-like sounds and LED lights. Not willing to let such a gap continue, our sources tell us RENNtech's upped the ante into a new galaxy with a mysterious "warp speed" feature. Hit the jump to hear what they had to say. More » -

RENNtech Mercedes-Benz 6.3 AMG, First Pictures And Details
The horsepower brokers over at RENNtech have turned their wrenches to the already powerful Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG to create what they consider to be a fitting heir to the Mercedes 6.3, appropriate given the name and the fact that latest C-Class has grown nearly to the size of that ultimate sedan. In order to achieve proper Überness, they've released the 6.2 AMG V8 from the grips of unnecessary restriction and managed to squeeze out nearly 100 additional horsepower. The sleek sedan achieves up to 548 HP and 510 lb-ft of torque thanks to new engine management, long-tube headers and new pipes. To handle all of that extra power you might want to opt for the new RENNtech brake kit and, just to be safe, throw in the height control suspension system and some Hasselhoff to complete the German experience. Full details in the release below the jump. More » -

RENNtech Sends Us Funny Pictures, We Talk About Their Brakes
Apparently RENNtech has snagged themselves some genius advertising folks, because they sent us some pictures of their new and hugemongous 16.2" cross drilled and vented two piece front rotors - along with a P-shopped image of a Dominos Pizza for reference. The combination of breathtakingly huge rotors squeezed by eight piston calipers and delicious pizza is a fantastic idea, assuming the pads are asbestos free. For formality sake, they lose points for not displaying the actual Dominos Brooklyn-style pizza which is apparently two inches smaller than the $7,995 brakes. For those interested in brakes able to stop the planets' rotation, these can be fitted to any of the Mercedes Benz products RENNTech works with, and we bet they'll throw in that pie with the deal.
