GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest: Vote For The Winner Of The iPod Touch!

After a week of heavy polling through four rounds of entries, the final 20 contestants in the GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest have been determined. Beginning today and ending Wednesday at 11:59 PM EST, you get to vote for your favorite chop of the smiley, enviro-friendly GEM Peapod concept. The winner will take home a sweet new iPod Touch, offered up by the fine folks at Chrysler's GEM division. When the clock passes 11:59 PM EST, all voting will be complete and we'll announce the winner the following day. Remember, standard contest rules still apply. If you've already stepped into the voting booth for Group One, Group Two and Group Three of our first round of voting in our GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest, you're ready to take a walk through these, the final 47 entries. We call them Group Four. Again, to remind everyone, voting in this first round — in all groups — ends at 11:59:59 PM tomorrow (Wednesday). The top five vote-getters from each group will move on to a final round of voting running from Thursday at noon to 11:59:59 PM Sunday. GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest, Rock The Vote: Round One, Group One

OK, put down your pens, pencils and mice — time's up. Now comes the fun part — voting for the best of the best of the GEM Peapod photoshop contest entries and crowning a winner to receive the grand prize — an iPod Touch (courtesy of the folks with the GEM team at Chrysler)! And while fun, it's going to be a huge job. We received an amazing 188 p-chopped entries of the happy little electric car for "gated communities." That's way too many for our piddly-dink poll software to deal with, so we've gone and split them up into four groups, each with 47 entries. We'll run all four rounds today, an hour apart. GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest: Win An iPod Touch!

When we kicked off the original GEM Peapod Photoshop contest, it was more as a lark than anything else, but the folks on the GEM Peapod team discovered it and thought it was a brilliant idea. So brilliant, in fact, that although Chrysler isn't a sponsor of the contest, they've graciously offered to supply an iPod Touch as a grand prize for the winner in exchange for us telling you "If you'd like more information on the GEM Peapod, click here." Seems fair to us. Now, considering the ante has been substantially upped from a virtual pat on the back to a free piece of sweet tech, we figured it was only fair to re-open the contest for all you creative types out there. All the old submissions (on time and late) will remain eligible, so no need to worry if you made one for the fun of it. Feel free to use any image of the Peapod we have hosted on this site or elsewhere. Submit entries to me at ben@jalopnik.com and please include in the subject line "GEM Peapod Photoshop Contest."
