@pauljones: A message from Jalopnik commenters: Please take the console fanboi-isms over to Kotaku where you can spark yet another heated console debate. :-)
On a side note: Is this just a pure marketing mini-game for Audi? If so why not make it for all systems?
@dculberson: I have them both, too, and I agree with your assessment. The graphics on the PS3 are much nicer, but what few games that are still exclusive to PS3 aren't as interesting as those of Xbox 360, Gran Turismo notwithstanding.
@pauljones: Yeah, and I still can't believe how much slicker the PS3 controllers are, with their built-in batteries. The xbox also has that huge power brick..
@dculberson: The only thing I don't like about the PS3 are the control layouts. The control placements are fine, but the movement controls are opposite of the Xbox 360, and that drives me up the wall. I usually play Xbox 360 on account of Halo, so when I switch over, there is always that latent learning curve with the controls that I have to contend with if the game won't let me switch them.
@Cognitive Friction: I've got Burnout: Legends (I think) for PSP and its pretty sweet, running other people off the road for fun is both helping me with my commute and keeping me from selling my PSP (until this of course)
@crespo: I think the PS3 is the main reason why we haven't heard about GT5 in so long. Seems like the bigger and more involved the game is, the more of a pain it's been for it to get made on the PS3. FFXIII is taking forever too, and MGS4 came out later than expected. By the time these games come out, no one's gonna give a rat's ass anymore.
It is sad that the iPhone has become synonymous with mobile gaming to the point that people have forgotten already that there are normal mobile game systems...
@Matt Hardigree: It wasn't too bad on GT4 from what I remember... it just handled like a pig since it was so much heavier than all the other cars in that game... and underpowered. Yeah. That too.

Evil J, Prince of Half Truths and Lord of Low-Light Environments was unstarred
@Evil J: Dude it was fun as well taking it on the Grand Canyon dirt course! The only problem I had was the dang thing was so long it has hard to drift cause the rear bumper would catch on the netting on the outside of the corner.
NASCAR on Gran Tourismo 5, eh? Tell me, will I be able to drive a Hudson Hornet or Chrysler C300 on the old beach circuit at Daytona? Also, if I choose the Hudson, does it include a monkey mascot/navigator option? My inner Tim Flock wants to know... [www.timflock.com]
@Ben Wojdyla: seriously, been waiting for a long time for that.
I remember Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit on PS1 having damage modeling. It was pretty good as I remember it, and it certainly made you drive differently knowing that you couldn't actually use the guy ahead of you as a cushion for the next corner, and that should you not line up to go through a tunnel or bridge properly at 150mph+, you will not be finishing that race.
should be very interesting.
I do remember having some huge problems with GT4 after a certain point. Namely, finding out that the X button on the PS2 didn't provide the kind of 'granularity' in throttle control needed to properly drive a 700hp, rear wheel drive Ford GT.
@ThreeLitre: Totally agree. This will undoubtably change the game completely for me. I used to dominate on GT3 by just grabbing the Escudo and ramming everyone else off the track. The car never turned, but it ran like a cat that was being raped by its own burning tail in a straight line. So I would just dive straight into each corner, winning races to make money for more interesting cars. Because of that I was never really impressed by Gran Turismo...
Until I heard GT5 was going to have actual damage modeling, I was about to abandon the PS3 in favor of Forza.
