This thing has GOT to look better in the flesh. It looks like bad Eurotrash to me in the photos. Like they stole the front end from a Golf, flushed in some PT cruiser, and stole my 7th grade sketchbook for the back end. #suzukikizashi
@Cheeseslap: I like the look...the deep blue really works but there's a champagne that also came out very posh looking. There's definite Golf influences but it's more aggressive. #suzukikizashi
@Jeb_Hoge: Aggressive? Really? I mean...I guess when you put it next to a Camry. But IMO, aggressive is the word I'd use for an SRT Neon. Or a last-gen Celica. This just looks like a big-nosed also-ran from a company that isn't quite as stylistically talented or niche-smart as the Japanese up-and-comers were in the 80s and 90s (ie: Subaru). When was the last time you saw a commercial for an SX4? I mean those are kinda quirky, half-decent cars with some personality (could have more), but nobody knows anything about them. #suzukikizashi
I was thinking small fun-to-drive hatchback for my next ride (Ford Fiesta/Suzuki Swift Sport/Abarth 500), but the Kizashi GTS may keep me in a mid size sedan #suzukikizashi
@ragtopdodge: Yeah, the AWD value proposition is a little sketchier and the driving experience wasn't dramatically different in back-to-back, plus the CVT-only option is an unfortunate choice. #suzukikizashi
Nice price. Will the Suzuki dealerships (wherever they are, if they even exist) serve sushi and tea while I inspect their new Kisashis? Ki-sush-tea, they could call it. #suzukikizashi
I watched a video of that Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA). It was incredible.
But, is it really such a great idea to dumb down the skills required by drivers? Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Parking Assist, Pre-Collision... I guess so the bad drivers have more time to talk on the phone?
@ZukeZuke: I disapprove of Parking Assist because it means the complete dipshits will take less damage to their cars, while I can simply bend my license plate back and wipe off their paint.
@accept it, the global economy is hosed for a while
I'm with you on the "1.5x the price of the base model" in general, but a lot of cars seem to be pushing the 2x mark these days. Cayenne, Lancer, Impreza, Passat, just to name a few.
I think it makes sense, though. Since platform sharing is already going on, why both obscuring it from the people (think "$15k Rabbit vs $45k Audi TT)? If you're really adding enough value to the car to justify 1.5x or twice the price, then the people will pay it.
Can someone explain to me why I am supposed to care what the top end price is going to be? It's not gonna make the car better looking...Only Tequila does that.
Toyota was going to include a bottle of pills that make the driver's flatulence carry the scent of lilac...but it was rejected by the Prius owner focus groups because everybody in the room thought their farts already smelled like roses

That would be what we call the banhammer banishment to banadu.

...it drives like a European hatchback...
Eurohatches have steering feel. Does this?

I can't reply. Is the problem on my side, or is it on your side?
