What they're not telling you is that the picture is just a macro of the new Bentley's exceptionally aerodynamically-sculpted wheel weights.

I hope the new Bentley continues in the same vein as the last model. I'm holding my breath because the new Phaeton is going to be great!

In a total inversion since the selloff, Bentley totally waxed Rolls Royce in sales, and did it with a car that didn't look like an embarrassing cartoon. Good enough for Chrysler to crib from for its 300, and giving Mercedes a much needed rest in the plagiarism department.

Pebble in August, you say? Now, where did I put my top hat?

I actually cant stand Bentleys or R.R's. Never get the concept of having so much power and so much grace, but yet never use it.

    Then again..
THIS is a society where everybody has the ability in their vehicles to do amazing things and go places that vehicles are designed for..

Yet they just sit at the market next to every other vehicle.

    Cue the Anti-SUV comments.
    The Dousche Ferrari comments..

@suidroccA suidellik suibilaM: You have to think of R.R.s and (less so) Bentley's as cars built in the Theodore Roosavelt theory of "speak softly and carry a big stick." Driving a Rolls portrays the same image in spirit to other drivers as steaming a fleet of Battleships into Tokyo Bay.

//speaking from historical reference, not political.

    @PetroSapien:

    With all due respect..
Im sure that was fine and good then.. when Maybach had a purpose.

    But recently, past 5-10yrs.

I cant even stand to be in traffic with them. I find them slow, large pointless. And the driver.. is as inept as his fellow SUV / CUV drivers.

The same crowd who buys them.. probably gets them on lease and trades them before an oil change is done. They also flock to Rovers and Cayanee's / Q7s.

    In the end..
    Im a driver.
I put my car to the very limit of how it was designed.
Im not interested in some yahoo who takes corners in a 6000lb sedan at 20mph.

These yachts should be restricted to the southern tip of Florida (Miami) and L.A where people have nothing else better to do than gab on the phone and try and pilot their car through traffic. The same with those in Dubai, nothing else better to do than throw away cash on a vehicle that they have no concept.

As for as the picture goes asthetically..
I love the black shadows, and the polished to a granite touch. But I wouldnt want one around for weddings or funerals.

I love Bentleys. This car better be great. Nothing less than what we have come to expect from Rolls Royce's sport division. I expect it to be powered by brimstone, fire, and a hell of a lot of fuel. I expect it to weigh as much as a tectonic plate, but move as quickly as any poseur-ish Ferrari. I expect this to be a dose of Olde England. Because that's what we need right now.

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: by brimstone and fire, you mean diesel and hybrids, right? Personally, I could give a damn if it was powered by leprechauns, as long as it was a big naturally aspirated big lock of Autobahn tuned, steroid-injected, highly refined, gold plated leprechauns purchasing at least 4000 llp (Leprechaun Leg Powers(Trademark pending), 1 hp-8 llp).

So, I really don't cars, just make it big, fast, and hewn from granite.

When you have good action movies like Iron Man, Borne, Taken, District 13, why should they ask us to see crap like this. Why can't auto-buffs of the world stand up, and demand not only cool car chases and the occasional girl on girl make-out session, and get a good story with character development and realistic action? Why not??
