@wojo to Ford-Awesome SHO, Great Job!: The weird part was, 10 years ago I thought she was the best-looking Spice Girl by far. Then she turned into something resembling a small leather handbag with two water balloons inside.
@Ash78 here today, gone tomorrow: I agree with you about Victoria. Although stating that she was the best looking Spice Girl doesn't say much, she was quite attractive even without that qualifier. Now she could really use a sammich.
@skaycog: What would be your color of choice though?
I daydream on eBay all the time about what mine will look like. I've decided on metallic blue with tan interior. But I guess I'd take black or white... or red. Hell, I just want one!

@Paul Y. don't drive too fast.: Both measure with the same accuracy. The only difference lies in nice round English numbers being different from nice round metric numbers.

@Carplanetzone1 - A star would be nice : ): Everything is in 0-62MPH because this is a European show, thus, as mentioned, the times are the english equivalent to 0-100 KPH.
Are those center locking wheels I see? On closer inspection it looks like they come with the ceramic brakes. I like that Porsche is making it harder to toss any old douche rims on there.
This is poor reporting - no offense - parroting the Porsche party line. To be clear, I like Porsches and in fact own one.
However, this engine represents - if it is actually as described - an overall downgrade, even though power is up and it has DI. The reason is that the old Porsche Turbo engine was different from, and superior to, the Carrera engine. It was based on the race motor from the Le Mans-winning 911 GT1 - true dry sump lubrication and some other features. If this just a boosted version of the Carrera mill, I'm underwhelmed.
It's nice and all - but it's still a downgrade.
By the way, one lap comparisons are meaningless. I'd be curious how many consecutive 7:xx laps the GTR or others could put in - I'm guessing not many, because the brakes would probably take a dump part-way through lap two.
A 911 will hum around that place all day. That's part of the reason why the M3, etc. have never QUITE been able to get there. Impressive over a 5 - 10 minutes span, but much beyond that and even a base Carrera just walks away...
@cgates1: The Gt3 3.6 was derived from the Gt1, and the new Gt3 3.8 is still the same engine architecture just bored out. I don't believe the turbo engine is Gt1 derived, and if it was, it would have probably followed the Gt3's development process and would still be Gt1 derived.
@Comrade Clockwork: The old Turbo is the same engine architecture as the GT3. It's very confusing, but I just re-checked. The new one might still be GT1-derived, but the Jalopnik report at least suggests that it's based on the Carrera.
You're probably right, by the way - it's probably still GT1-based, but the write-up here was confusing to me.
News Alert: During acceleration testing, Stud Beefpile's tongue was violently driven back and lodged in his throat. The Nissan GT-R emergency car was summoned and arrived on the scene in 6:27. Porsche disputes this version of the events.
Nissan emergency responders are now taking their sweet time extricating Mr. Beefpile's tongue, which from the glimpse we have seen, looks remarkably like a size 13 driving shoe.

What really grinds my gears is that the UK haphazardly mixes English and metric units, on top of making up their own gallon.
