Holy crap, I want its taillights, though. I want to put them on everything I own! And I just want the Monterey in general: that Breezeway is the coolest shit, and it always makes the cab look like it was slapped on top on the last day, but in a totally badass way.

Nah, that's a proud Mopar performance upgrade, like the lightweight windows in the 68 Hemi drag cars.

Mopar Trivia- 1965 Chryslers had a one-year only version of the cable activated 727 Torqueflite. It was similar to those of the '62-'64 pushbutton era but had a slip yoke extension housing like the '66 and up versions instead of the Mopar old ball and trunion. These '65 Torqueflites are highly sought after and command a premium now-a-days.

No we won't.
Out of this group, no question I'd demo the '56 Chev. Some orthodontist with a Visa Platinum or some shit and a Danchuk catalog will just replace it anyway.

BTW, in the right hands that '63 Mercury would keep up with ANY '73-76 GM product in a derby.

I don't doubt it- the point is, the '63 Merc is absolutely crazy beautiful, and '70s GMs are ugly bogged-out pieces of shit. And before anybody jumps on me, please take note I'm not excluding '70s Mopes or Fords from this judgement- but we can definitely start with the General Malaise products.
If the local boneyard was smart enough to sell whole cars, I would've demo'd this monstrosity:

In most parts of the country you'd have to look for months to see cars like this. In So Cal, a 15 min drive around town is all you need. Amazing.

Great, now none of our readers in China can see this past their Great Firewall of China.
Damn, if only they can see what we see now instead of 404.

I love the '63 Merc too (that's right, that stands for MERCURY, not "Mercedes", kids)- that chiseled slab look is awesome.. and a reverse-slant, roll-down rear window? America, fuck yeah!
Probably wouldn't have bothered with the Chevy myself, but what the hell- it's the nicest one I've seen this week (so far).
