If the 2010 Acura NSX's Nürburgring lap didn't hit the right spot, take a look at this new shot showing off the interior for the first time. We're a little disappointed that the stylish Zubaz-esque exterior camo isn't reflected on the inside of the cockpit, but then again, who cares, those gauges look so purdy we want to bring them home to Momma. And check out the paddle shifters.

<![CDATA[ May The Ford Be With You: The Art of Cedric Delsaux ]]>

It's a good thing Photoshop didn't exist when I was a kid, because if it had, these images would have blown my fragile five-year old mind. Cedric Delsaux adds Star Wars characters to otherwise mundane cityscapes, highlighting their alien nature and in the process combining my two biggest adult childhood obsessions: cars and Stormtroopers. The only thing more, you know, Jalopnik would be if he'd included either a DAF or a FAF. Still, an Imp isn't too shabby.

<![CDATA[ KITT In Action: Exclusive Video ]]> Yesterday, Ray and Wes met KITT in the flesh— er, metal. Today we bring you the video footage of us doing our best Hasslehoff impression during our exclusive Brooklyn rendezvous. The new Knight Rider made-for-television movie premieres tomorrow on NBC, so our test drive ride just came right at our peak of anticipation. And while we still kinda agree with the "never meet your childhood heros" rule, we've gotta admit that the supercharged Mustang GT in GT500KR clothing looks and sounds pretty sweet.

<![CDATA[ Exclusive: Jalopnik Lifts KITT's Hood ]]> Ray and I got to live out a major childhood fantasy of ours earlier today when KITT swung by Brooklyn and offered to take us for a ride. KITT's found new life not as an F-body, but as a Ford Mustang GT500KR. Well, a more accurate description would be a Mustang GT with an automatic transmission — the cast can't drive stick — a supercharger and GT500KR bodywork. They do say, "Never meet your childhood heroes, you'll be disappointed." In this case, they're only partially right.

Knight Rider, the made for TV movie, airs Sunday night on NBC, starring our friend KITT here and a cast of no name, blandly good looking actors. Val Kilmer provides KITT's voice. David Hasselhoff will make a cameo appearance to smooth the transition from 25 years ago to today. It's rumored that should the movie prove successful, we should expect a spin-off series some time in the near future.

In person, KITT is little more than a prop. It's roughly finished and beat to hell. We're some of the first people outside the show, after Jay Leno, to get our hands on the car. We're not NBC employees like Jay, so we couldn't drive the vehicle for liability reasons, but we were able to hop in for a short ride. It felt like a Mustang, one with loud pipes, a plastic interior and lowered suspension; it rides rough as hell. But that's the adult in me speaking. The five year old that still exists somewhere deep inside me is positively giddy with excitement at finally getting the opportunity to ride along with Michael Knight, or at least one of Ford's delivery guys who looked just a little bit like him. NBC's hoping a lot more people's inner child won't be able to resist KITT either.

<![CDATA[ ¡Los Yellow Bastardos! ]]>

Yeah, okay, fine, our Spanish is about as reliable as our uterus. Maybe a little better. Curse these barely-vestigal ovaries! Regardless, and more to the point, some people like yellow cars. Our pal Zerin is one, having just shelled out for a bright screaming new TT S-Line (and yes, ladies, he's available). We like yellow here and there. We used to have a creme-yellow living room back in Benicia. But in our graphic design days, straight yellow ink with anywhere from 5 to 10 percent red quotient really made stuff pop off the page when we were in a hurry to do something, anything. So we appreciate yellow's virtue. So, apparently, does the man who put together this flickr group.

<![CDATA[ Our Country, Our Overcompensation: Pictures of Really Laughable F-650s ]]>

I just asked a FoMoCo-PR-Bro how a scrappy writer like me could get into a truck like the one pictured above. His response? "A ladder." I've been sparring deep into the comment section of Mr. Mehta's screed (it was a screed, right?) concerning our country's truck. Readers appear upset that Sajeev refused to simply call the new Chevy apple pie and be done with it. Tempers have flared and teh internets tough guys are out in force. As I have stated many times, unless you are hauling cords of wood or removing trees, here in our country, pickups are much more frequently a lifestyle statement than they are useful, practical and/or responsible. Look, if you got your dirt in Boss Kean's ditch then by all means grab a dirt-hauler and git-r-done. But if you just have a tremendously small penis, dude, no one cares but your wife.

<![CDATA[ Photos from the Salt: Bonneville Speed Week 2006 Gallery ]]>

Bonneville Speed Week, now past for 2006, is a photographer's fantasy affair. The dramatic moonscapes of Utah, tinted by low-angled sun and set atop a limitless expanse of cotton white, beats the steaming hell out of an ill-lit convention center for rendering well-turned hardware. Retinal neurophysiology scientist, Dr. Bryan William Jones knows a little something about eyes, and his were behind a lens for this year's salty f te. Don't adjust your neuromodulators, folks, the shots really are that spectacular.

<![CDATA[ Spy Photos: Porsche 997 Turbo Cabrio ]]> porsche_997_tc_spy.jpg

The final (and to many, the most desirable) variant of the latest-generation Porsche 911 (997), the everything bagel of the Porsche universe, the Swiss Army Knife sports car, the Porsche Turbo cabrio, is likely at least a fiscal quarter away from official viewing. While we're expecting Porsche's whole droptop fleet to appear at the Detroit auto show early next year, MPH has some shots of the new, AWD Turbo cab in its element right now. No waiting. Shoo.

<![CDATA[ Spy Photos: 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander ]]> mitsubishi_outlander.jpg

Mitsubishi is developing a new, more refined generation of its turnip-headed Outlander, according to a new spy shot in The Car Connection that was taken in the southwestern US. The company's redesigned midsize SUV is a major player in its three-year comeback plan, which involves the current Eclipse model and a Dodge Dakota-based Raider pickup coming for 2006. This particular test mule is right-drive, indicating it's the Japanese version, which will beat the US version — expected to get a 3.0-liter V6 with six-speed automatic — to market by at least one season of "According to Jim."
