    I'm a big fan of the original 260 or 289 Cobras.


    The later 427s were super bitchin' and obviously kicked ass, but they're just too overt.


    It's like seeing that cute cheerleader from high school working as a stripper 10 years and too many cosmetic surgeries later.

    When my dad first told me about how incredible this car was back in the day, I thought he must be drunk. He was, but he spoke the truth. Miss you, Camp Dearborn.


    The next day, when I brought it up again, he overemphasized the parts of the story about his friend crashing and dying in a Cobra cuz he couldn't handle the power, but it was too little too late, I couldn't be scared straight.


    While I've never owned anything that compares to Cobra, it's still the Gold Standard in my book by which all my cars fail to measure up.

    @eggwich del fiero: Every single supercar I've ever seen has been compared to a Cobra in my mind. The Veyron is my other True Love because it's the first car, in my mind, that's been bat-shit insane enough to give a Cobra a run for its money.

    That is it. There are cars that are faster, more powerful and safer than this car. But this is pure menace. It is concentrated 666. This car is the kind of car that makes 5 yr olds piss their pants. This is the car for Satan himself.

    @Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: I was standing beside a genuine 427 Cobra when it fired up. It sounded like Satan gargling land mines. I told my girlfriend at the time that I would leave her in a heartbeat for one night alone with that car. She said that she'd expect me to.

    @c0de: haha. started its life as an Elise. Had an exige rear grafted on to it. Full suspension, brakes, wide body, aero, and built and turbocharged engine. 520 hp! and 2100 lbs with full fluids and driver!
