    OK, I think I'm on the verge of figuring out why this plays such a trick on the mind:


    With the HD capabilities of the camera, objects that are quite far away are focused on in amazing clarity giving the impression that they are a lot closer...as in inches away. Can this only be successful with HD?

    @DonLuc: HD has nothing to do with it. It's because you are used to seeing a very short depth of field in macro photography.

    For those of us who had model trains, this is quite a flashback. I had little fake trees that look realer than these do in Tilt-Shift.

    @combat chuck: My kid stopped watching the show a year ago, and I still have the theme song stuck in my head. "They're 2 they're 4 they're 6 they're 8, shunting trucks and hauling freight, red and green and brown and blue, they're a really usefull crew..."

    @Dwegmull, preview free since March 2009.: That's a shame, because that is some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. I guess, like the Chunnel, it's all about speed and efficiency. Not that riding across the English Channel on a hovercraft was that great to begin with, but still.


    But if you consider the current tunnel is ~130 years old, it's had a pretty good run.
