@Walleeme: why would the "French" fuck up the marketing effort on this Concept Car ? maybe because there is NO Marketing Effort since this is a Concept car ?

Plus the French, namely Renault have only 38% of Nissan thus not a controlling stock (last time i checked)

And the CEO, Carlos Ghosn, is not French, he's Lebanese.

You could believably shoot a Star Wars fan film in the NV2500 concept's interior. I mean, with the rear doors open looking in from behind, the thing looks a LOT like the interior of the Millenium Falcon. A bit closer to real-world than the Terranaut, too.

Perhaps a little of both. The concept was released back in 2006 to hint at the styling of the new Nissan Patrol:

I like the layout and set up, I thought it was cool as hell when I saw it.

I don't hate it. In fact, I think if it's offered in 4wd, it could be quite cool.

I'm just afraid there's too much weight in the front for it to get out of the mud by the riverbank when a future owner needs a carton of smokes, that's all.

@muhnkee_2: They aren't free. Among the many obligations, the families have to put in at least 400 hours of construction time and pay a zero percent mortgage on the materials that went into the house that weren't donated.

@Ben Wojdyla: While we're dispelling Habitat for Humanity myths, let's also note that the common perception of "free houses for poor people" is completely incorrect.

@Pete Gaines: Yeah, I'm surprised that people think Habitat is like a government handout or something. They seem like they vet their candidates pretty well, and ensure that the recipient is deserving and willing to make their way up.

One cool thing is that right down the road from my office, we have a HfH surplus store where builders and demolition teams can donate their excess materials (cabinets, toilets, you name it). They sell it to homeowners and remodelers and the proceeds go to new home construction.

@timtoolman: Fortunately, around here, the only people I've ever seen driving an ice-cream van are thoroughly-unimpressed-looking teenaged girls. Which, actually, I've always thought was also a very bad idea, as it seems to result in a lot of dirty-old-man customers who just want to watch her bend down over the counter in a low-cut tank-top.
