@DЯ. BЯдΖǐL-ЯЄРΘЯΤЄЯ: No, really, I posted with a pic. Then there was no pic. Then it came back. There's a problem in the site that is hosting the pic, that's why it wasn't showing.
Okay, THAT is one sexy convertible. Maybe it's not a roadster in the most historic of senses, but what it is is very attractive and really having been designed alongside the coupe, not FROM it.
The softer lines really work for a droptop, and this is no exception. It should exude sexy confidence, as opposed to the more direct sport aura that a coupe of the 370z's calibre should, and does, have.
Can I get one in black? 6-spd MT. No nav, mp3 playback.
@Wankelin' For A Rotary: Not designed from the coupe? That's an interesting concept, but I'm pretty sure that all automakers still make a convertible as a derivative model, so it would really be a modification of the original coupe design.
@acarr260: According to Nissan, they designed the convertible AND the coupe alongside one another, so while they share many of the same components they are, in effect, separately designed but identically platformed cars.
@Wankelin' For A Rotary: Well, I learned something new today. While I wouldn't say that's it's a bad approach, it would seem a lot more costly to me. Interesting nonetheless.
If you have a car with those kind of curves, you need a color that will emphasize them. Silver or Black are really the only two colors that I think would go well on that car. Maybe a metallic Burnt Orange. Maybe. But that Brown is terrible.
Why does every company feel the need to make every car a convertible. For that matter why do people feel the need to buy the convertible. Stop it. You are only encouraging the manufacturers If you want wind in your hair, roll down your windows. Then you dont have to worry about extra weight, chassis flex, and inevitable decapitation in roll overs. Road-rashed heads dont get the ladies.
Great looking car (the coupe). The 'vert is just meh--it loses a lot without a roofline. Those wheels are too busy. But still better than the outgoing version.
@Ash78: I just saw the coupe in person for the first time--it looks really, really good from the back and I love the wheels... but it's weird inside and the front end's not very exciting.

No, I don't mean that figuratively. It looks like a soft brown dookie brick.

Even the Malaise era Zs looked better in Brown. They looked best in Red or White, but they weren't horrible in Brown.
This thing, though, looks like an enlarged version of the snicker bars you sometimes find floating in the rivers of CA.

Because knock-your-socks-off gorgeous girls look much better in a convertible than they do in a coupe with the windows down.
End of story.
