Me, personally, am all in favor of cops having fast/cool cars. Because that means that some day they will be available to the general public at reduced prices. A Crown Vic is kind of blah. A P71 is kick ass.

People always talk crap about the ecocars that the police drive, and other environmentally friendly measures, but when it comes to when they have to rely on them, my, how quickly they shut up.

If that's aimed at me, that's just fine, but understand that while much of what you are saying is true, not everyone has had such a good experience when they needed the help of the police.
Additionally, you may not have noticed, but there was a great deal of inherent sarcasm in my previous post.
