185bhp?! Does it even move under its own power?

All that money and nothing under the hood. Prime candidate for a Ford 7.3L Powerstoke transplant...

Alright, so it's a little over-priced- but this is no crackpipe.

Bring back the original front end, and I'll drive it.

$27,000 buys an awful lot of illegal drugs, unregistered firearms, and sex. I cannot in good conscience turn over that kind of money to an individual that adheres to those tastes. Because if this is his previous conveyance, it's pretty clear that those are probably his lifestyle accessories.

Crack pipe! No, not literally - just the designation, you see.

As much as I love the 70's silver & black paint, and the fact that I like to own one of those last real full sized Chryslers, this isn't my style. Why would anyone change the front of a Newport to emulate a Roller? Crackpipe.

There's no place to vote for this on the posting, but I assume that's because this thang is D.O.A., my man.

PS Please keep the typo at the start of the 3rd paragraph: "Toady" -- because that's just perfect.

Since I am unfunny, and unable to make up a clever quip about the price of this car, which is a Crack Pipe, I will argue your definition of rap artist. You see, real rap artists are quite rare these days. You really have to go back 10 years to really appreciate the true art of rapping. While most of these "rappers" flow today, the rappers back then had smooth flowing lyrics, witty rhymes, and in most cases, a message. Gucci Mane is in one word, garbage. I would rather smack my head against the wall than listen to his shitty songs. Listen to Big L, and get back to me about the definition of rapper. By the way, this is, in no way an attack on Graverobber. I quite liked the write up, much more wit than I can manage.

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: I'm not sure how to receive this. An articulate, thoughtful rap fan on Jalopnik. Finding these things all together is like winning the trifecta, or hitting the Powerball. Something bad has to happen now to maintain the cosmic balance.

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: I agree. Most rap artists today are nothing more than pop stars with a different beat. No real message, no witty rants. Just fun beats and meaningless lyrics.

    50 Cent is an example.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy listening to 50's early stuff because it is fun, but it's not "true rap".

Oh, and I voted crack pipe. This should be $5000 tops.

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: The only reason for the Gucci Mane reference was due to the Guccitastic nature of this car. Other than that, I couldn't tell you the difference between Biggie Smalls and Big Lots!

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: You know, pal, back in the day in Soviet Russia, long before this "rap" you speak of came to be, we had John Lennon and the rest of the Beatles. And The Rolling Stones. And then Led Zeppelin.

And dammit, those guys could sing, not this talking fast to computer-generated beats thing.

    /End troll moment

But, no, seriously, I completely agree with you. I wouldn't call myself a rap fan, as it isn't something that I normally play on the radio on my drive to work everyday, but when I hear something from KRS One, Mos Def, or Run-D.M.C., I'll listen to it.

But once you start getting into contemporary hip-hop and gangsta rap, starting with the early Ice T, I just turn it off.

Sometimes that site fits me and my white friends more than I would like to admit. I'm a huge fan of Delta Blues.

I suppose I shouldn't make assumptions about Mr. Serial Killer's race though.

@Ambiguously Unfunny Serial Killer: Sorry, I keep forgetting who's who with all these anagram names.

I agree that most new rap and hip hop is shit, but there is some good stuff to be found with some indie or old school rap. I'm more into alt rock, bluegrass, and the Blues, which is where the article fits me.

If you want something really different, check out [gangstagrass.com] It's rap with bluegrass samples, and some of it is actually pretty good. My favorite is probably the #5 track, "Mean."
