    I'm sensing a Wind of Change in the US auto industry. Can You Feel It?

    GM used to be Top of the Bill, but all they can do now is Remember the Good Times. They keep saying We Will Rise Again, but like the smoke from a Sky Writer, they are fading.

    Most of America is telling Chrysler I'm Leaving You. Their quality is Borderline, and the Crossfire was a flop.

    Some of this might be Media Overkill, but it's happening.

    Now a New Generation is asking Ford, "Are You The One?" Ford is responding by letting us all know they will Rock You Like a Hurricane. They are promising to bring cars from Europe over, and we Can't Get Enough.

    Ford, there's No One Like You. Now, let's go for a Drive.

    I actually like it when they do stuff like this. It gives the item in question a soul. It gives it a personality. It shows that Ford cares about this engine as something familiar instead of just another thing they have to ship en masse. This is the kind of thing that separates the American and Italian cars from the Japanese cars.

    I love the idea, I love the concept. The execution is tacky as all hell though. Could have been done thousands of times better. In fact, for a few thousand bucks, they probably could have hired some bored welder/artist to actually MAKE this thing, and make it a whole lot cooler.

    What the hell year is this? (listens for opening strains of any Def Leppard song) I mean, dang.

    But what the hell. Ford's taking the fight for dominance of the American auto market out of the corners. Toyota's still got the higher ground, but the US has long loved an underdog - especially when it's one of our own.
