    I hate how they've gone and done the whole mouthless front fascia thing that infiniti did with the first gen G35. yuck.


    It just looks awful.

    I hate it.


    Contrary to what some of the jalops think, I _like_ the Z4 M-coupe and I liked the Z3 M-roadster (that awful coupe-wagon thing can suck it)

    Front, very nice. Back end is very busy, though. And the back shouldn't have more detail than the front end.

    I like the looks and most of the stats, but I can't help but feeling like, just as with so many other sporty cars over the years, that they've now made it too soft and chubby in an attempt to broaden the appeal.

    that is perhaps the best looking ass on a folding hard top ever, even with the top down. i just hope the M version is a fixed top.

    I really love the sweeping lines, and the way they carry through from nose to tail. But I still think the door sills look too high, and bath tub-y. It'll make it super hard to order at a drive-thru when the top is up.

    @McHoon: The high sills seem to be a fad now, don't they?. I recently drove both a Miata and a Solstice and, at 6' 2", felt confined with the top down.

    This car has tons of curvy lines. Can't wait to see it in person, and see if it's busy or elegant. Wonder what the M version will do to differentiate/macho-ify itself?


    Most importantly, does the folding tin top mean no more Coupe? I loves me my clown shoe!

    I will say one thing though, I HATE the placment of that 3rd brake light. I hated the Z3, and that light is in the same place. I really don't like it.

    Woo hoo! They didn't completely cock up the new Z4! Means the old models won't suddenly appreciate when the new ones drop (ahem, e38...)

    They've ruined it. The previous Z4 was pretty pure, this one's got all the gadgets, including that horrible folding-hardtop fad.

    @NcSchu: Could be the dude sitting in it is smaller, but I think you are right, it looks more like the SLK350. Maybe that's because a smaller roadster w/cloth top is spreading the roadster love to another market segment.

    @teexcue: I agree,it has far more lines in common with the 6 series & the proportions look a lot better. Just hope they'll do a coupe at some point & not just the folding tin top.
