    Not bad considering that they did no modeling of the landing at all. He needs to make friends with a crazy physicist, and redesign the suspension a little, and he's golden.

    Looked pretty successful to me. Full rotation, all four wheels landed, but the truck just didn't roll away smoothly. I'd call it a job well done.

    That was pretty darn close. Yes, he didn't stick the landing, but "FAIL"? Give the guy some credit, that was a pretty awesome stunt -- and he almost ended wheels up. I know, I know, a miss is as good as a mile, but I have no doubt that these guys nearly have this dialed.

    @nick2ny: Not setting up the rebound dampers = FAIL. I'm pretty sure they knew they wouldn't be landing on a pile of cardboard boxes at the main event like they did in practice. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

    Hell, I'm shocked they managed to set up that many cardboard boxes without having to retrieve them, repeatedly, from either Utah or Cali.

    @Kelly: That looks like El Toro here in Orange County. Millenworks is only a couple of miles from there. I am assuming the fab of the vehicle was done there.

    The X-games motorcyclists do these things just getting the bikes out of the trailers. Hell, Cameron Diaz did one - or at least in my fantasies it was really her.


    No, actually, my fantasies are more about the backflip than about Cameron Diaz. Hmm, need more psychotherapy methinks.
