In the U.S., the 6 is clearly the driver's choice over *any* Ford sedan.

cause these are just ok
Mazda 3 hatchback is fugly they should make the sedan version

But the hatch looks better.
Also: it's time to retire "fugly".

In either case, the best practice is to find a more creative, detailed description of how or why the subject is ugly.
e.g.: "The Maserati Quattroporte's shnoz looks like the product of an unholy union between Alf and a Dustbuster."

1) cargo security (it's easier to break into a cabin (and therefore a hatch) than a trunk)
2) cargo temperature variations (the cabin is full of windows and gets a lot hotter than a proper trunk)
3) cargo noise (you shouldn't be able to hear your luggage)
4) cargo visibility (related to #1 but not entirely the same)
4.b) chintzy cargo covers that break easily and stow difficultly. They limit space when in place so using them to address #4 removes their only asset over a trunk
5) They are part and parcel of any and all noisy, uncomfortable sh** boxes. Z06 no exception.

1) Sedans all have trunk releases in the cabin now, rendering this a mute point.
2) The trunk doesn't have AC; the cargo area of a hatch is more exposed to the cabin and therefore can be cooled by AC to a degree. Hot sheetmetal makes for a hot trunk, especially in motion as not only are trunks not cooled, they often have exhaust routed close by that warms it even more.
3) The cargo covers suppress noise to a degree, but they are a bit noisier. Nonetheless, hatches tend to have more tiedowns designed into them. Proper use of tiedowns will reduce the noise.
4) Use the cover. Anything that necessitates removal of the cover wouldn't fit into a normal sedan so your limiting space comparison is faulty. They simply add versatility and if you're already loading such a big item, the extra 10 seconds it takes to remove the cover shouldn't be an issue.
5) Nice closed mind.

I can't tell if the smaller girl is really smaller or just really far away.
Either way...it's obvious why this 3 is enjoying itself.
