This just in, tail wags dog. Seriously, looking at the ad, all that I notice is how generic and BMW it is in looks. Imagine all this hoopla around, say, a 59 Caddy. That would make sense. Here, there's nothing even to fondle, really--just straight lines, pretty much. Not even any trim details to caress.
@Ray Wert: Ray, You had it correct when you said that there wasn't a good looking Buick in the last 2 Decades, and the cars pictured are all before 1989.
Can anyone think of a Buick that actually looked good after 1989? Maybe this one?
True story: I had a junior high school classmate named Sandy Dick. Even at a young age, all of the males would wince when she was called to the office over the intercom.

Unless, as i09 observed about Transformers 2, the agency was going for an "art commercial" of some sort.

"...Buick's new design's light-years better than what we've seen from Buick in the past - umm, forever..."
May I remind you of this Buick?
Or this one?

Everyone should google "Sandy Wong" (actual person, btw) to truly understand the merits of Ash's comment.

Which is why I pointed you in that general direction.
