That's Sarah Palin's car so Kyle was clearly at one of her book signings. I'm not sure why as I don't think he can read.

    I'm so confused...
Is Kyle being a typical twitterhead, giving pointless updates of every mundane, uninteresting thing he does, punctuated with the occasional random ejaculation of patriotism?

Or is he voicing his enthusiastic support for the singular, go-your-own-way-via-mass-market-merchandise slogans?

Or is he just thrilled that there's somebody out there that's legitimized how he spells "tooting?"

Or is he just thrilled he managed to park his car without having to qualify for the start?

As well he should. Kyle is the beneficiary of a fundamental American principle. If your daddy (or grandaddy) was really great at what he did, you can be marginal and still succeed.

@mcryder: As a southerner i think thats the worst excuse for ignorance i've ever heard (and yeah i've heard it many times before) The south is supposed to be known for its hospitality and cordialness and respect toward others which i was always taught to show. regardless of our own ideas i dont see how this shows respect or thoughtfulness to anyone. it defies the south i was raised in.

put another way, in Germany, the people that fly the swastika arent known as "heritage lovers".

@meatbag_pussrocket: I'm a California communist who eats babies and all of your descriptions of the south are spot-on in my experience. It's a friendly, wonderful place--as with anything, there are a few bad apples that give it a bad name. Kyle Petty included, apparently.

I work with this guy. He feels politically marginalized against the growing nepotism in the Northeast corridor and how it may eventually affect his ability to make an agrarian living despite diminished clout, so in tandem with being criticized for following a slave labor system that he inherited and now depends on, whether morally objectionable or not, he now demonstrates his disdain for federalization by parking like this every day.

the irony of the proud display of the Confederate flag juxtaposed with the caption "I love America" is strong enough to crush planets, and probably Alanis Morissette too

@meatbag_pussrocket: The owner of the plate didn't say they love America; Kyle Petty did, without commenting on the plate directly. Perhaps he is a fan of freedom of expression?

@Allwheeldriveturbosportwagon: @Allwheeldriveturbosportwagon: indeed. and my highest hopes are that Kyle Petty is making a comment on his freedom of expression. regardless of our *ability* to freely express our views however, i think one of the saddest facets of this country is the inability to to decipher which of our views we choose to declare loudly and proudly. by way of analogy:

i fart in my office, but i choose to do it silently.

So am I to believe that all of the NASCAR neigh sayers here would turn down an opportunity to be a NASCAR driver since going in circles (at insane speeds flirting with grip thresholds) is so boring? I prefer most other forms of racing, but you give me 4 wheels, an engine, a starting line and a checkered flag...I'm in.
