This is just grotesque.
If people started breeding cats with dog heads or v.v. would you want one?
Some things just ain't nach-rull.

I think the Easy-rods look better. Which disgusts me.
I hate the rear end, especially. Those tails are like the worst of any 50's car, and definitely the ugliest. Even the Mercury Comet's "cross-eyed chinaman" taillights looked better. No, I did not come up with the "cross-eyed chinaman" thing, and yes, I realize it's offensive. I just don't give a fuck, and it's historically correct.

The Thunderbird easyrods are abominable, but apparently they've now started doing easyrods on last-gen F-bodies, which aren't nearly so abominable.

This car looks great. I do not want it, though. It's basically a glorified kit car. Sure, someone took the time to put together a "kit" that looks and, presumably, functions well. But it is still a kit. To me, this is no different than a high quality Fauxrrari kit. This thing screams POSEUR to me. If I saw someone driving this on the road I would think, "That car looks good, but that guy is trying waaaaaay too hard."
Should Chevy do a retro-inspired 'Vette from the factory? Probably not. The aerodynamics probably wouldn't work out. So, I can kind of understand why there is a market for something like this. However, I'm not sold.
Especially at $75k. You can get a Z06 for that kind of money.

And yes, I completely agree with you. The "poseur" line in particular made me laugh.

More attractive in an art-deco way, I suppose, but I prefer the lines of the standard Vette. In time, they will come to be seen as timeless, much as the third-gens are starting to become perceived.

It was at 75k with 3 bidders.
It's very cool, but I would rather have an updated Eleanor over this.
