    24 seems so very, very young to me now that I'm more than twice that.

    He must have felt no pain, at least, because that was clearly a sudden and complete broken neck.

    I guess I'll try this. I hated myself at first for watching Jackass and laughing but slapstick still has a place at the humor table--and they get paid for this, after all. I don't watch the "amateur" YouTube personal disasters and wipe outs, though. My schadenfreude level is too low, I guess.

    Like Jackass, this is one of those things that I might watch at 1 am if nothing better is on. My favorite part was the dirt jump on the roadbike. Actually, I'm not sure if I even get MTV, so maybe I can't watch it.

    Death is a sneeze away. Ask Jeremy. Ask the truck driver dude. He probably WISHES he were dead. Go righteous, and fly how you were meant to. The rest will sort itself out. You might as well enjoy the caged death match we all have to fight. Nobody gets out alive.

    Freestyle Moto-X is one of those sports that's an easy target for the "why-would-you-want-to-do-that" critics. Hell, you couldn't pay me enough to do that. But if Jeremy Lusk got a thrill out of it, and he thrilled the people that watched him do it, then he did his part to make the world a better place. We need more folks like him, and it's sad that on this day we have less.

    On the one hand, it's a shame he died so young; on the other, I'm happy he probably didn't feel much, and that he was doing what he truly loved to do.


    My heart goes out to those close to him as well.

    RIP Jeremy Lusk, it's a shame, I'm from Costa Rica and everybody here is mourning his death. He died at approx. 2:30 AM Costa Rica Time. I was not at the event but friends were there and they're still on shocked to have witnessed the accident and amazed he actually was alive for a couple days. (the accident was past saturday).
