    That's funny because they sell this car already minus the electric mill for about $12k usd internationally.


    Pretty sure the Turbo 660CC is efficient enough for them to keep their blender, and I'll walk away $35k more efficient.

    My initial reaction was Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Holy hell thats alot of money for a car even if it is electric. Then I calm down and remember way back when DVD players came to market. A thousand bucks for the latest and greatest technology? You bet! Alot of people bought them. Blu-ray? Same thing. So a $47000 electric car? Meh I still give it a WTF.

    How does this figure compare to an American selling price, as it is clearly outrageously expensive at $47K.

    @RLJ676-LS3 Commuter Car - for the environment: Oddly, the Prius appears to start at ~$21k in Japan. However, I am assuming that this is the price: 2,050,000円, which potentially increases to 3,270,000円, which wo uld be a bit over $33k.


    Of course, I do not read Japanese. I am merely pretending that I can.

    @engineerd: Neither. It'll be the Farad, since they'll use a bunch of those $500 stereo ultra-capacitors to store up the juice for some super-speedy 0-100km/hr and 1000 meter runs.

    64 HP also seems like quite a bit. They guys doing Geo Metro EV conversions typically use about half that much power, and a lead-acid laden Metro tips the scales at not many pounds fewer than this little insect.


    2400 lbs...crap, that's what my Volvo Amazon weighs!

    Even at 10 bucks a gallon, you'll be buying a lot of fuel for that Honda Jazz before breaking even. And I'd wager the Jazz is a bit more fun and practical.
