    If you had a car in this deck that was a pancake now I imagine that your insurance would take care of the matter pretty easily. What would really suck would be to have a car stuck in the undamaged part of the deck. It is going to be a good while before you can get your car out. If it is like alot of the parking decks there might only be one way in and out. The chances of anything of value being left in your car aren't too good either, considering the area that this is in, not too bad during daylight hours, but only ones left after dark are the criminals.

    Girders come on a truck
    They were put in place by some schmuck
    From the contractor in town-own
    If I had my little way
    I'd place girders everyday
    Then watch as they collapse and smash and the cars or vans

    @leavethegun-takethecannoli: I doubt that there would be any donks. I'm pretty sure you had to pay to park there.
    $2000 for car + $15000 for wheels (assuming they aren't rent to own) = no money left to park

    @BigHarv: Brother says this parking deck is one of the newest, sturdiest looking ones in Midtown. Apparently quite a few BMW 3 series, X3s, and X5 have been lost/caused the collapse

    @Engineerman: Georgia Tech is a public school so I'm guessing all construction projects go through the state to the lowest bidder. This isn't part of the Tech campus anyways.
