To A Yellow]]> The green flag dropped on the 93th running of the Indianapolis 500 and almost right away two cars went into the wall. Mario Moraes and Marco Andretti tangled in the first lap. The 22-year-old Moraes was apparently on his cell phone and not paying attention, pushing Andretti into the wall.

Marco Andretti didn't pull any punches in a track-side interview saying "The kid just doesn't get it," expressing obvious anger at being out of the race only moments after it began. Moraes of course didn't see it that way, saying "He hit me" and immediately following his release from medical announced he was directly on his way to confront Andretti about the crash... cat fight! We'll be watching this one.

We're back to green now with Franchchitti leading Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe in third. We'll be breaking in with quick posts whenever something monumental happens (crashes) but until then we'll be going deaf here in Indy.

<![CDATA[The 2010 Dodge Charger Coupe That Never Was...Or Ever Will Be]]> There are a lot of Mopar enthusiasts out there who think the four-door Dodge Charger is a cryin' shame, an abomination and an affront to the badge it wears. Maybe. But, you can still do some seriously crazy burnouts in the Charger SRT8 so we don't know what the big deal is. In any case, artist Michael Leonhard has seen fit to re-imagine the legendary car as if it never went away, in proper two door style with vintage color schemes and horrible aerodynamics to boot. Very nicely done Michael, but although we'd be all for two muscle cars coupes in the modern Chrysler lineup, we think Chryslerberus'll think that's just patently ridiculous — despite an obvious desire to see it happen.

<![CDATA[Schumacher Wins First Motorcycle Race, Prompting Rumors Of New Career]]> Former F1 driver Michael Schumacher has won his first ever motorcycle race. The ex-Ferrari driver has successfully completed tests on board Ducati's MotoGP bike and raced a Honda CBR1000RR. With the addition of this win, on board a Triumph Daytona 675, the motorcycle world is rife with rumors that he will compete professionally in a major racing class next season.

In addition to his Triumph, Schumacher brought his track prepped Ducati 1098R and Desmosedici RR to the Barcelona track for testing. It's not known which series, if any, Schumacher would choose to participate in, but it's assumed he can pretty much write his own ticket. Any lack luster performance would be made up for by his crowd-pulling name. [Via Motorcycle News]

<![CDATA[Michael Schumacher Races Taxi to Airport]]> Wide World of Sports Australia is reporting on a taxicab drivers' tall tale that both thrills and delights. According to German cabbie Tuncer Yilmaz, Michael Schumacher was late to the airport after picking up a new puppy for the family, so he did what any self respecting racing god would do, take the wheel himself. In Yilmaz's own words:

"I found myself in the passenger seat, which was strange enough, but to have "Schumi" behind the wheel of my cab was incredible"... "He drove at full throttle around the corners and over-took in some unbelievable places."
For the granting him the pleasure of speedily transporting his wife and two kids, and his new pup, der Regenmeister tipped ye old cabbie a smooth hundred Euros. No small sum considering that's almost enough to buy a house in Detroit these days.[WWOS.co.au]]]>
