Am I the only one who thinks it actually looks decent?

I've caught on to the frequent use of 'Bruce' when referencing German automakers. But can someone please fill me in on the origins of the 'meme'?

I feel pretty pathetic asking for someone to let me in on the inside joke... But it's such a frequent element here on jalopnik.

It's nice, but clearly the hp level should be above 500.

How is it supposed to counter AMG?

The ePRS (US Patent No. c11077983) translated the press release from the original German to this:

BRABUS announces our latest tuner -- The E-Class Coupe. For a mere €29,000 you can have the following:

*462 hp BRABUS 6.1L engine to crush your tuner boy neighbor's spirits

*Top Speed of 196 mpg to outrun the fuzz

*20-inch Wheels to keep your homies happy

*0-62 in 4.7s to prove to your GM-employed neighbor that people still want speed and a back seat (long live the G8!)

*Other options are available for the diesel engines including raising the torque to 435 lb-ft. Earth: Powered by BRABUS.

*Body kit, brakes, wheels, and other goodies are also available.

See GM, even BRABUS is a fan of the G8. I wonder why that didn't carry over to the English translation.
