Damn, that's a tough car. Obviously it's more of a Merc than Mclaren. Why make the structure so strong? It doesn't need it! With that all carbon fiber body, they could've made it half a ton lighter and break the 7:00 barrier on Nurburgring.

Blame the drivers all you want, but I place the blame on Jalopnik. I am sure these guys were having the same the discussion my co-workers and I were having, "What will it take to get a post about us on Jalopnik for Crash Week." Now the only way I can out do them is if I ram a Bugatti Veryon head-on into an Enzo. Anyone have an Enzo I can borrow, oh and a Veyron?
@Peugeot--back from IAA: I have a both an Enzo and a Veyron you can use, but they are 1:18 scale. So your crash will be in 1:18 awesome if that is ok with you.
Sadly, given the state of Polish politics, the plutocrats involved will escape punishment of any kind, whilst some of those who lost their vehicles will descend further into poverty. For the working poor, the shittiest of vehicle is irreplaceable.

It was two brothers racing.
The Mercedes was bought the day before the accident and the Ferrari a week before.
Apparently they were already street racing the night before.
The Mercedes did have a kid in it.
After the wreck, the Mercedes driver grabbed the kid and jumped into the Ferrari and fled the scene.
Later on both Jokers turned themselves in.
Everyone has been released from the Hospital.
ALSO: it was only 4 cars that collided at 2:00PM (aka 1400 hours), so fix your headline

That makes so much more sense.

Or in this case, smashed to parts.

This would have turned out much differently had a Scirocco diesel been involved.
