    OH, and the one thing the staff know is that we are pretty good at keeping ourselves amused. The 500 comment record-breaker comes to mind along with any number of wandering and heavily linked/illustrated threads. It's great when the inmates get to the run the asylum, even for a little while.

    @MaxSmart32: Consumerist got chucked out of Gawker to Consumer Reports a while back. Even though they still use the Gawker platform, it's like the Groundhog Day version of the system, stuck permanently at the peak of Gawker win.

    @Ben Wojdyla: I've got a giant hunk of Scandinavian death metal. The brakes squeal for several minutes if depressed more than 2/3 of the way from speed, there's random spots of surface rust on the hood where a giant dent was mostly-repaired, and the suspension is soft enough that I can Rock The Boat at traffic lights by letting off the brakes and applying 'em a half-second later.
