Bummer that the V6 isn't available with the stick. My ex wife has an 04 V6 5-speed which is a ton of fun to drive.

Hardigree, I have to say you have really stepped up your game on the reviews of late. Excellent job. Informative and humorous. Kind of like Car and Driver used to be.

I'm glad you mentioned Chuck, Matt. My favorite show on TV right now...I really hope it doesn't get cancelled. If it does, I'm going to blame Jay Leno and slash the tires on one of his Duesenbergs.

And, yeah, Sarah Walker can be my "handler" anytime she wants.

    My Fellow Jalops,

Life is short. Very short, especially if you're a chinese motorcyclist. Bearing that in mind, why in the name of all that is oily would you choose a four-door bore like an Toyota Coma-ry, a Niss-yawn Altima, a Honda Acc-snored, or now the Mazda6 S Grand Boring?
I understand minivans, all that's going on there is that you're saying: "Hey, my priority list has been re-arranged by my ulra-fecund loins, and there's always a spare kidney out there for me."
If you need four-doors, buy something interesting: a diesel, a wagon, a turbo-four, a hot hatch, hell, even a Horrible Hybrid.

Otherwise, you may as well just drown yourself in a vat of taupe paint.

How dare you. Jenna Fischer is an amazing piece of ass.

She is of the rare type of girl that have "normal hotness", which isn't necessarily huge knockers and a tight ass, its more like a pretty face that you could maybe actually get with one day.

And that's my theory: One day I will get with Ms. Fischer.

Run into friends while driving a Mazda6 and you won't have to apologize for its looks.

No, but you will have to apologize for breaking their legs...

BTW, are you implying that this is really not even office hot by lining up that 2nd pic so the burrito is barfing on it?

Too bad the previous gen is the one I would've preferred (wagon), but it wasn't the mass-seller they needed it to be.

Midsize sedans that look better than this, in order, in my opinion: 1. New Maxima 2. Malibu 3. Passat 4. Accord 5. Last-gen Maxima 6. Camry 7. Altima

    Uglier: 1. Aura 2. Last-gen Malibu

I see where they're going with it, but I still think it came out a little plain. Even more than the last one.

This is ahead of Camry I think, but agree on the rest.

PS, isn't the Maxima a fullsize? They're sure priced like one too.

@rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe: The NEW Maxima is midsize (not sure of the "official" ranking)...quite a bit smaller than the boat it replaces. I've only seen a couple so far.

I was sitting in traffic yesterday next to a dark, clean Camry SE and was impressed. This generation is at least as bold as Toyota has ever tried, even if some of the cues are a little odd (like the hood ornament schnoz and the weirdly angled taillights)

@Ash78: All new Camrys should be prohibited from being sold in beige, white, or silver, and should also be banned from having hubcaps (because Toyota can't fucking center them properly).

The Down Syndrome look isn't exactly ideal, but the rest of the car is nice (except now it's slightly too large). Whatever happened to shrugging your shoulders and saying "sorry, this is a midsize, not a Fleetwood"?

If the steering feel is good, at least, I can forgive it.
