    The word Cyrus is derived, via Latin, from Ancient Greek Κῦρος, from Old Persian Kūrūš. The name has been recorded in ancient inscriptions in many different languages. The ancient Greek historians Ctesias and Plutarch noted that Cyrus was named from Kuros, the sun.

    Kill it with fire would be the logical step.
