    The fact that these clowns (AKA the formerly Big 3) don't know how the game is played to garner aid, is simply more proof that they live in a business fantasy land.


    You know, the fantasy land where you build progressively bigger and bigger vehicles while the cost of fuel becomes more and more expensive.


    Their business acumen is stupefying.

Bad... no loan for you!!" , you may want to remember that nobody ever bought an SUV or a big car at the gunpoint. They built what people wanted to buy - as did the foreign manufacturers here in the states - where do you think Toyota and Nissan make their trucks and SUVs?

    @AmishJohn: In Accordance with the photograph, Wagoner is trying to do his Civic duty. I mean, he was made president and CEO of GM's North America division in S2000, it's about time he undertakes his Odyssey. I sincerely hope he has the Insight to Pilot his company back into the black.

    Frankly, driving is a poor use of his time. Those windbag senators are pots calling the kettle black. Deficit spending and they get chauffered around like royalty. 'Nuff said!

    @timtoolman: PR is everything. The senate is holding the purse strings, so they get driven around however the security guidelines allow it.


    Driving is a good use of auto exec PR time right now. Either they started driving, or they weren't going to get anything.


    Unlike the bankers, who are getting billions without so much as a peep from congress or the populace about accountability or helping the taxpayer or anything.


    It's probably because people understand cars and think they understand the industry, but finance just makes them go all woozy in the head.
