i am seeing a wave of stump pulling is going to be going on when this thing gets released, the risk of the earth being pulled out of orbit by a simultaneous westways pull should definitely be considered....
Is it still recommended, upon first receipt, to do a complete tear-down of any Indian-made engine to shake / scrape out the last of the (possibly painted-over) casting sand?
My only complaint with this, seriously, is that there's no longbed option with the 4-door, or no "access-cab" or "club-cab" version.
I don't necessarily need a full set of rear doors, but I do need some accommodation for a 3rd passenger. Fine, "then get the 4-door" one says, but the overall length is the same as the 2-door which means on the 4-door, the bed is T-I-N-Y.
Otherwise, I'm all over this like Dal on rice. Spartan, simple, diesel AND ugly? Sign me up.
@JDisnidiet: Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if there are already more Mahindra tractor dealers in the US than there are dealers for some of the second tier/niche imports. I doubt that these will be sold in the same dealership ala International Harvester though. I live in north metro Atlanta. There are 3 Mahindra dealerships within 50 miles, 5 Subaru dealerships, 5 Mitsubishi dealerships, 4 Volvo dealerships, and 3 Saab dealerships in the same 50 mile radius. They are shooting for 300 dealerships, probably about the same US prescence as Subaru or Saab.
Great choice guys, the man you put in charge in the US two of the three brands he was responsible for are either dead (Saturn) or left the US market (Peugeot), the third has never had a meaningful market share (Saab).
I work in Alpharetta, maybe I'll see one of these on the road soon. Didn't even know that Mahindra had an office here. I checked the webiste and the their tractor US HQ is in Texas.

Hopefully, they sell enough of them to get the big players in the US truck market to build a competitor.
I would buy a new, 4wd LUV. I could forgive badgineering if Chevy wanted to make some decent looking skins for it, and call bring back the LUV name.

Oddly, they offer both for foreign markets.
