There is something about hoonage and classical music that just seems to fit. Its the automotive equivalent of putting helicopter attacks to Ride of the Valkyrie in Apocalypse Now.
@Unevol-WINTERGUESSINGGAME!!!: You guys are boring. Whatever happened to, "it just looks cool," powersliding around like that instead of single-mindedly trying to set a fast lap time?
You have greater odds of buying something american made by buying a foreign brand name. That's just the way it works these days.
Get used to it, it's an international economy, you can't differentiate between domestic and foreign, if you did try to do that, you would be the biggest vegan, locally grown, cruncy chewy, earth firster on the planet.
@zeeboid: ahh the irony. US brands are mostly made in Mexico and Asia and those durn foreigners have the gall and audacity to have decent hardworking 'mericans forced to labor here in the US on their fureign crap.
@the artist formerly known as dolo54: I don't even really care about this "Made in America" argument, but I am getting a bit tired of the exaggerated BS being slung about. Most US brands are NOT made in Mexico and Asia. And while Toyota, Honda, etc do have US factories, they still import a ton of cars built elsewhere. And of course you have to factor in all of the designers, engineers, marketers, etc that don't work at the assembly plants and where they are located. I'm sorry, but any Toyota you buy simply does not support as many DIRECT American jobs as any Detroit 3 auto. I'm not telling anybody what to buy or not, just stop bullshitting everybody about how Toyota is more 'Merican than so-and-so's Chevy.

So is that what they were getting at? It looks good by itself and on paper, but doesn't get the job done, when directly compared to its competitors?
Interesting marketing strategy if you're marketing to the racing type.

For every car put together by ~50 line workers, there are hundreds of high-paying, wealth-building white-collar jobs.
It remains true that domestic is still domestic and foreign is still foreign in that respect.

Basically, a company's job is to aggregate wealth for the headquarters and the owners (shareholders).
