Dear Lord, Please smite any who would dare to purchase a Lotus with an automatic transmission, lest Lotus think it is a good idea, and continue to offer them as an option.

You needn't strike them down; Just give them boils or leprosy or something. I don't think that that is too much to ask.

I mean, seriously, the kind of person who would buy an automatic Lotus is a contradiction. An enthusiast who would rather let the car shift for him?

The only exception would be a Lotus enthusiast who has lost his left leg, and therefore cannot operate the clutch pedal, and has been waiting patiently for a Lotus offering that he is physically capable of driving.

Perhaps instead of boils, you could strike them lame on the left. At least make the automatic necessary.
