You know you've made it as a hard partying celeb when yours face is chosen by paranoid delusional persons as that of drunk driving goddess incarnate. Lindsay Lohan is just so lucky. Her 2007 DUI mugshot is featured prominently as the example of those kinds of people who need an in-car breathalyzer ignition interlock, versus you know, the regular drinky-drivers. It's all part of a newspaper ad from the confusing folks at Interlock Facts who want to make sure those dastardly "anti-alcohol activists" don't get to put a breathalyzer in your car. We hate to break it to you "Interlock Facts", but on the list of things to be paranoid about, this one is pretty damn far down. We do give you points for your mean-spirited ads though. Limo Drivers Beg Celeb Handlers to Keep Clients from Driving Themselves

In one of the odder press releases to come across our desk lately, the National Limo Association (NLA) is pleading with celebrity handlers to spare their clients the embarrassment of a DUI mug shot this holiday season by hiring a limo driver. And while we agree with the sentiment (no one wants to be remembered as the person killed by an old pop star's illegitimate offspring in a drunk driving accident), we question the sincerity of a Limo org that claims they just want to remind the uber rich that may "have forgotten" that chauffeured transportation exists. I guess LiLo and Paris Hilton are too busy to remember about limos and not just irresponsible. The press release is below the jump:

The "Gatekeepers" of Public Figures May Hold the Key to Safety During the Most Celebrated Time of Year

Managers, Publicists, Agents and Assistants of the Rich and Famous Challenged by the National Limousine Association to Keep VIPs Safe and Smart this Holiday Season

Los Angeles, CA (November 27, 2007) - The National Limousine Association (NLA) announced today an unprecedented holiday outreach campaign to educate the managers, publicists and agents who handle celebrities, athletes, business executives and other public figures, about considering a chauffeured transportation service as an alternative to allowing their clients drive under the influence.

As part of the campaign, Jeff Greene, president of the NLA, will be contacting gatekeepers of the leading and most visible personalities in sports, business and entertainment industries and reminding them that they hold much of the responsibility in making sure that their client arrives home safely. The timing of this campaign is essential because, according to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), there is a significant increase in the number of alcohol-related crashes as the holiday season draws near.

"After discussing this issue in great detail, the NLA board determined that most high profile individuals don't make driving arrangements themselves, and instead look to their managers, assistants and agents to do that for them," says Greene. "For this reason, we are targeting our campaign towards those individuals as a wake-up call that chauffeured transportation is the right solution for their clients."

By offering chauffeured transportation, these gatekeepers can also assure that their clients can avoid adverse publicity, law suits, and the additional financial consequences that accompany driving under the influence.

"In the past, for celebrities like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, it was difficult enough to drive with the paparazzi in your face let alone under the influence, which is why we are speaking out to those who make arrangements for high profile people. Britney Spears would not have had her rights to drive with her children in the car taken away if she used a car and driver," says Greene.

With more than 2300 members, the NLA makes finding a limousine or chauffeured transportation service easy. Regardless of needs, a professional driver can transport individuals safely and discreetly in a vehicle of choice, ranging from a stretch limousine to an anonymous luxury sedan, at rates significantly below what it costs to pay DUI fees and recover negative press.

eBay Auction of Lindsay Lohan's Mercedes Now Sanitized For Your Protection

Looks like the lawyers may have gotten to the auction of Lindsay Lohan's former 2005 Mercedes SL65. The original eBay auction for the dinged up and now apparently fixed Mercedes was very clear as to the pedigree of the former owner. Mysteriously the car was pulled down from auction a couple of days after we reported on it, but It would now seem the seller has re-posted the item — only this time it's been wiped of all traces of the LiLo stain. No word on whether it's now been wrapped in one of those "sanitized for your protection" wrappers often found at budget motels, although perhaps that would decrease the value for the true collectors out there. One thing's for sure, our sources are telling us the seller remains true to their commentary the coke-sprinkled vehicle at auction is the former property of the celebutard — and we'll continue to stick by our "Cokeat Emptor" issued before. Lindsay Lohan's Coke-Sprinkled 2005 Mercedes SL65 On eBay?

For you auto-lovers of the celeb-obsessed variety — who also happen to have $110,000-plus to play with — we've got an eBay auction just for you. There's a Mercedes SL-Class on eBay which the seller claims to be none other than the SL65 Lindsay Lohan smacked into a tree back in May of this year and in which police supposedly found a cute li'l bag of coke. So is it LiLo's Mercedes-Benz? Well, the license plate in the pictures does seem to be the same as that found on the back end of the tree-bashing German drop-top, but we also did a quick AutoCheck vehicle history report on the VIN and the only reported accident on the report comes from February of 2006. So is it the same Mercedes? We're not sure, but you know what they say — Cokeat Emptor. That's what they say, isn't it? (Hat tip to Travis!)

Glad to hear that whole rehab thing was working so well for her. Apparently, according to the Associated Press:

"Lindsay Lohan, who just finished a second stint in rehab for substance abuse treatment, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and possession of cocaine early Tuesday, authorities said.

Lohan, who is already facing a drunken driving charge in Beverly Hills, was stopped near the Santa Monica Police Department after authorities were called about a car chasing another vehicle, said Sgt. Shane Talbot.

Authorities conducted a field sobriety test and then transported Lohan to the police department.

A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12 percent and .13 percent, Talbot said. California's legal limit is 0.08 percent.

The 21-year-old actress was booked on two misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transport of a narcotic, Talbot said.

During a pre-booking search, police found cocaine in one of Lohan's pants pockets, Talbot said."

After repeated incidents of abuse, a celebrity-owned Mercedes has checked itself into Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for exhaustion and severe front-end damage. The car, an SL65, is owned by actress Lindsay Lohan, who recently used it to t-bone a Chevy Astro Van in West Hollywoood. According to the AP, one passenger in Lohan's Mercedes and the driver of the van suffered ~~actionable~~ minor injuries. Witnesses noted that Lohan fled to a nearby antiques store to escape paparazzi, who had reportedly been in hot pursuit at the time of the accident. The Mercedes was spotted by the roadside, shivering and chain-smoking Kools. [Update: Our LA-infected sibling Defamer procured some photos of the incident, showing the victim in its sad state, and some actress too.]
