This rumor, may be loosely confirmed by a second source — if we're counting a TeamSpeed forum post stating the same bits of information we've received. While not as hardcore as the GT3 or GT3 RS, the Carrera Supersport will retain the same C4S-based widebody, but will be considered a grand touring car rather more so than the aforementioned brightly colored track rats. We currently know that it will feature Fuchs-style wheels, a double bubble roof, a ducktail spoiler and will feature a primer gray colored paint job. The interior will feature a retro throwback brown leather interior.

No power numbers have been given at this point, but we can expect the very limited edition Supersport will empty your wallet by about £135,000 ($222,223 USD). We're lazy fixing our plumbing problems, so expect more information as it leaks out over the next couple months. [TeamSpeed]

<![CDATA[$1.8 Million, Limited-Edition Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster]]> With its carbon fiber body, 678 HP AMG-sourced V12 engine, $1.8 million price tag and limited production of five, we know the type of enthusiast the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster is aimed at. Oh and it's roofless.

If you're like us, then you know. If not, then we'll have to point it out loud and clear. Roofless exotics are for rich poseurs. Or are they? With the same Mercedes-Benz AMG-sourced V12 as the equally limited edition Pagani Zonda Cinque hardtop pumping out 678 horsepower and a tire shredding 578 lb-ft of torque, this is no poseur ride. To clarify even further; any car with full carbon fibered bodywork, carbon-titanium monocoque chassis (engineered specifically for the Cinque), Cima six-speed sequential gearbox and a titanium and magnesium adjustable suspension means business.

Sitting pretty at a dry weight of 2,667 lbs, the Zonda Cinque slingshots to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, 125 mph in 9.6 seconds and fights the wind until it reaches its 217 mph top speed. Massive lateral grip in the Zonda Cinque allows it to maintain 1.45g with its massive Pirelli PZero tires (front 255/35/19, rear 335/30/20) wrapped around aluminum and magnesium, APP monolithic wheels (front 9x19, rear 12,5x20).

Sounds to us like there's plenty of fun wrapped up in this $1.8 million non-poseur mobile, but regardless of all the awesome, you just know that all five of these beauties will end up in some collection, never to be seen or heard from again.

The Pagani roadcar model range would not be complete without Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, a Roadster version of the Pagani Zonda Cinque. As the name implies it is created in the Modenese Atelier in a limited production run of merely five exclusive pieces like its coupé sister.

All weight reduction measures adopted by Pagani to improve driving pleasure, performance and emission of the Zonda Cinque have found use in the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster as well. The Carbon-Titanium chassis has been redesigned for the compensation of a missing roof.

The Cinque experience is enhanced with the roof stored in the front bonnet, when the storm of air being fed to the 678hp Mercedes AMG V12 engine through the massive intake just inches over the passengers' ears, accompanies the exhaust note of the bespoke Pagani Zonda Cinque Inconel and Titanium exhaust system.

Whether you opt for a relaxed country drive in Tuscany's hills, visiting Florence and other centres of the Italian Renaissance, or a record hunt at the Nürburgring, this 1.3 milion Euro + taxes jewel will reward with every day driveability and ultimate performance thanks to the different drive modes of the sequential robostised gearbox and an adjustable suspension setup that feels at home as well at the racetrack as on bumpy roads.

The constant efforts of Horacio Pagani and his team shows once again how art and engineering can be combined in the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.

<![CDATA[Saab "Turbo X" To Be Revealed in Frankfurt]]> It's 30 years since Saab unveiled its first turbocharged model, causing young stockbrokers to rear their heads like hungry cocker spaniels at the shake of a kibble bag. Now, Saab says its planning to reveal a car that will evoke the classic "black turbo" models that followed throughout the 1980s. It's called the Turbo X, and we suspect it's an attempt to recapture some of the brand's, er, Saabness lost during the GM years. The Turbo X will be a limited-edition model the company says will introduce cutting-edge technology. We're hoping that doesn't just mean a stock ticker on the dash.

Press Release

Saab Black Turbo Rebjörn

• Saab unveils the Turbo X
• Celebration of 30 years at the forefront of turbocharging technology
• Saab to replicate classic Black Turbo models, available as a limited edition

Saab will go 'back to the future' at next month's Frankfurt International Motor Show by evoking the iconic appeal of its classic 'Black Turbo' models.

The Swedish premium car maker will celebrate 30 years of leadership in turbocharging by unveiling the Saab Turbo X, a limited edition performance car that inherits the visual appeal of the Saab 99 and 900 black turbos - while also introducing cutting-edge technology. This ultimate expression of the new 9-3 range will deliver standard-setting levels of performance for the brand.

It was at Frankfurt in 1977 that Saab surprised the automotive world when it revealed its first turbocharged model. It set a performance trend that others were to follow. Now the innovative features of the new Saab 'Black Turbo' are also expected to attract widespread imitation.

Further details of the Saab Turbo X will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

<![CDATA[Honda Civic Mugen Si Sedan for 2008]]> A Honda Civic kitted out with Mugen gewgaws and sold in the US? You are correct, sir. Honda says 1,000 copies of the Civic Mugen Si, shown as a SEMA concept last year, will hit US dealerships for around 30 large this October. It's outfitted with such sporting effects as a lowered, sport-tuned suspension, forged aluminum wheels, and full body dress. Under the hood will be the basic Si's 2.0-liter four producing 197 horses, and hooked to a six-speed manual. It's the first Mugen-tuned Honda to arrive in the states, though not the best, and hopefully not the last.

<![CDATA[Race on Dimanche, Sell on Lundi: Renault's Limited-Edition Clio F1 Team]]>

What would owning a championship Formula One team be without synergistic marketing tie ins? Not much, of course. And so, Renault's unveiled a special edition Clio, the Renaultsport 197 F1 Team on the unveiling occasion of the Renault F1 team's new R27 car for the 2007 season. Like the M gane Renaultsport 230 F1 Team R26 before it, the little Clio gets sport-tuned underpinnings the company calls its "Cup" chassis (an upcoming option on the Clio Renaultsport 197), which includes stiffer springs and dampers and a lowered ride height. Visually, it's yellow like Renault's racing livery, and sports red brake calipers, alloy wheels in anthracite and various identifying stick-ons. The interior's marked by Recaro seats and a numbered plaque. Expect a more substantial coming-out f te at the Geneva show in March.
