I can achieve the same effect with a brush and some roofing tar.

The next hot ticket from Kumho will be the 5 series crawler tracks for Hummers in green, red and blue.

Find a heavy car with 385s on it, and follow it for a smoooooooth ride.

People running these things are just BEGGING to pay for a rim job.

What? Why is everyone looking at me?

If tire profiles get much lower, Kumho is gonna have to outsource manufacturing to Trojan or Durex

Geez, when will the "appearance racer" crowd go away? Can't these people get into someting legitimately cool like mural covered vans or Raptor pickups?

I am sick to death of these sort of folks asking me why my car's exhaust is so tiny, or why the wheels are so small.

They glaze when I answer something like, "It's tuned to my car's displacement and power band, and works very well for what I need it to do - be light and keep the car within sound limits."

    I guess I just don't understand the need to "100K C001, y0!"

@acarr260: Yeah, but they also confused by the concept of autocross itself; let alone the use of a Miata in any type of competition.

I do like showing how capable Miatas are at doing burnouts. I call it the "disappearing girly car trick".

At what point do we just start gluing a chunk of tread onto the wheels?

I don't think these "tyres" will be available in the USA. We will have to wait for the "tires" version...

I like how they lump together a F430 and a Z06. I guess the idea is to sell a lot of tires to the Z06 owners who can then tell their friends they have "Ferrari grade (TM)" tires!

A glued rubber must be as comfortable as these tires, with the advantage that the glued rubber does not puncture and go even to a lower profile.

I'd like to get tires that smell like patchouli when roasted, thus causing any nearby hippies to implode from the cognitive dissonance.

As a former tire mounter, I cringe and worry about my fingertips just looking at these.

Super low-profile tires are a trifecta of misery:

    difficult to get mounted

    + expensive, easily scratched wheels

    + asshole owners

    =

    PITA

Might as well get Rhino and Line-X into the business. Just spray a 1/8" coating of truck bedliner onto the outside of the rim and voila!
