Sadly this is the fate of many show cars. I work for an automotive company and have seen many a concept car left to rot, crushed, or picked apart piece by piece.
Unless the car is a major hit and/or a close representation of the future of the company the cost of maintenance/repairs and storage for the one-of-a-kind mythical beast often outweighs the value of the car itself.
I'm sorry but I just started to allow Hyundai some "thats a cool car" slack. I'm not going to start letting a GM partnered Japanese company that hasn't done anything at all in its past to interest me (short of a failed run in the WRC) into my list of cars I'd like to save.
@PowerTryp: Right there with you. I'm surprised there are laments for these ugly mules that I wouldn't lift a finger to save, even if I had the kizash.
@beercheck: That comment was revised and resumed two times. I wouldn't stand being singled out by Navarro in the worsts of the day with the things I intended to say so I took another road and just let the main thought.
@PowerTryp: "....a GM partnered Japanese company..."
Ummmmm.....you do realize that Hyundai is KOREAN, don't you? Were you thinking perhaps GM's partnership with Fuji Heavy Industries (owner of Subaru?). That partnership ended in 2005.
SAVE THE KIZSUSHI! I think they kinda have the uglies, but let's not destroy them, even though they're only 36" tall. They should be put in Suzuki's museum. I like concept cars.

But the more I look at those gaping maws, the more I tentatively think "that might be a good thing".

Sorry guys but thats just how it is.

@PowerTryp: I see you're not a Pike's Peak fan.

The Sixteen is another one I'm on board with. I am surprised Jay Leno didn't end up with this.

Besides, it's hardly a ground-breaking concept.

I just hate to see concept cars destroyed i guess.
And real estate in Europe is not exactly plentiful and cheap either, yet they somehow manage.
