    @iamthegreatestdriver: And I can only imagine the grumbling, since they just went from 85% to 72%. This is almost a non-story compared to normal pay cuts (never mind true layoffs) in most of the private sector.

    @Ash78: I just got laid off. Mirroring your previous comment, I believe it's time for a new field- other than construction management. I get severence, but in GA, no unemployment until the severence package runs out. Then, it's $320/wk or whatever, until something gives.


    Judging from the way things are going; I don't expect it to be soon. Either way, I wouldn't mind a 72% wage package to hold me over a bit!

    @Timtoolman, now with power tools!: Good luck to you, Tim...the small, but very established bank where I work cut about 30% of the workforce over the past 3 months, many of them 20+ year veterans over the age of 50.


    My ex-superior is one of them...and already had to sell his 1999 DINAN M Coupe that he just bought 6 months ago.
