JE Design Audi Q7 Widebody FSI

Germany's JE Design, those wicked Leingarteners, have finally put a bow on their tuned Audi 4.2-liter V8. And they've done it in context of the Q7 SUV, which they've bulked up with a body kit, 22-inch wheels and suspension kit. A supercharger provides the boost to 500 horsepower (from 350) and 443 lb-ft of torque, along with a water-fed intercooler, sport exhaust up to the header and computer tweaks. The result is zero to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 169 mph. If there's a footballer or oil scion on your list, consider this one first. [via World Car Fans] More »

Oh, Those Doors Again: JE Design Seat Leon

See, this is what's missing in the US — hatchbacks with scissor doors. (Can you even Imagine pulling up to some swank Miami nightclub in a Spanish-German hatchback without them?) Tuning and design shop JD Design, which makes its living making quick work of Volkswagen group products, is offering such kittage for the Seat Leon. In addition to the doors, the package includes a new grille, aero kit, rims and optional matte-finish roof. Performance-wise, the company chip-tunes the Leon's 2.0-liter TDI to produce 193 hp, boosting torque significantly to 302 lb-ft. For the 2.0-liter TFSI gas engine, power's upped to 244 hp and torque to 261 lb-ft, leading to a quicker zero-to-60 time of 6.5 seconds (vs 7.3). Would it be enough to outrun the swarm of underclad mamis that will likely bum-rush the three-door? Hmm. More »

JE Design's Tuned TDI A8

For mercenary driver to the criminal element, Frank Martin, having traded his trademark Bimmer for an Audi A8 W12 in Luc Besson's upcoming "The Transporter 2," fuel costs are likely less of a concern than heat-seeking RPGs. But if they were, one trip to Germany could put him behind the wheel of an A8 4.2 TDI, with a JE Design tuning package, before the next sequel starts shooting — and he wouldn't have to downscale performance. JE's package includes a power boost to 390 bhp for the new 4.2 TDI V8, plus an aerodynamic body kit, chrome-plated four-pipe stainless steel rear silencer system, modification to suspension electronics to lowering the car by around 30 mm, 19-inch wheels — all leading up to a maximum speed of 177 mph. That — plus those driving skills — should be enough to outrun, uh, everybody. More »
